Wat Phra Kaew, Temple of Emerald Buddha

If you ever visit Bangkok, Wat Phra Kaew is unquestionably among the most breathtaking locations to see. The surrounding walls are covered in intricate paintings, and the buildings are lovely and beautifully adorned. One might easily spend hours just looking at the paintings because there is so much to see. One outstanding aspect of the paintings is the incorporation of golden hues, which give them an ethereal, difficult-to-describe shine in the light from a distance. The Jade Buddha is the temple's holiest object. This sacred figure is surrounded by a number of myths and traditions, and pilgrims are constantly praying in the room where it is kept. I stayed in the temple for a while before moving to the Grande Palace, which is only used for very formal occasions like coronations and royal funerals. For me, the most intriguing structure was a sizable structure with Thai-style roofs that was constructed totally in a European style. It was supposedly designed in Europe, but as construction on the structure neared completion, the monarch was persuaded to include Thai characteristics in its architecture. #bangkok #thailand
