Review of Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park Hotel

Spent my recent Dragon Boat Festival holiday vacationing in Bangkok and chose to stay at the Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen's Park Hotel. The value for money was excellent! Just a few minutes' walk from the hotel is the super trendy Emsphere Mall with its great design aesthetic, plus there's an urban IKEA store that's perfect for browsing. The hotel's location is unbeatable - just over 10 minutes by taxi to Siam when traffic's good. I stayed on the 28th floor this time - the higher floors have better views with no obstructions, and the floor-to-ceiling windows make the room feel very spacious. Their breakfast is particularly delicious, better than many other Marriott hotels of the same tier, with a wide variety of fresh juices, fruits, and breads. There's also a lovely outdoor seating area. Since the hotel has many rooms, their gym is exceptionally large with plenty of equipment - fitness enthusiasts will love it. There's also an outdoor pool perfect for swimming and sunbathing when the weather's nice. In the evening, we tried A Bar, a rooftop bar with truly healing sunset views. We sampled several excellent cocktails - it was so comfortable chatting with friends there. We also dined at The Siam Tea Room, an authentic Thai restaurant where the new salted egg yolk river prawns were absolutely delicious! Even many non-hotel guests come here to eat!
