Is Viva Café Soi 8 Worth the Hype? The Good, the Bad & the Overpriced

Had breakfast here hoping for a pleasant start to the day. While the food showed promise, the overall experience left much to be desired. The Good: • Breakfast dishes were tasty and well-prepared • Comfortable seating and decent ambiance The Bad: ☕ Mediocre Coffee - Surprisingly underwhelming for a cafe 💁 Terrible Service - Slow, inattentive and unfriendly staff. 💰 Overpriced - Portion sizes and quality don't justify the steep prices Final Verdict: With so many better breakfast options in Bangkok, there's little reason to endure the poor service and inflated prices here. The decent food isn't enough to compensate for the frustrating experience. Would I Return? No - once was enough. Save your money and patience for one of the many superior cafes nearby. Note to Management: Your kitchen can cook - now train your staff to match that quality with decent service. I feel that your staff is not colour blind, we are a couple of Chinese from Singapore but it’s quite obvious that your staff is more happy serving the caucasians. Or they may have mistaken us for Chinese from China. Whatever it is, service standard should not be dependent on skin colour. #bangkok #bangkokcafe
