Bangkok, Thailand is a world-famous tourist resort city. Every day, thousands of tourists come to Bangkok for sightseeing and vacation. The Chao Phraya River is the mother river of Bangkok and even the whole of Thailand. There are many attractions gathered around the Chao Phraya River. This time I will introduce a one-day tour to the old town along the Chao Phraya River. All attractions in the itinerary are free to visit and take photos📸, and there is no need to buy tickets.
Itinerary introduction: First take public transportation or taxi to Opposite Suankularb Wittayalai School ตรงข้ามโรงเรียนสวนกุหลาบวิทยาลัย. After getting off the bus, we arrived at the first attraction: Pohchang Academy of Arts วิทยาลัยเพาะช่าง มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีราชมงคลรัตนโกสินทร์. This is a famous art college in Bangkok. The entire school campus is composed of old buildings with a history of more than 100 years. The buildings are tall, majestic and magnificent. There is also a European-style garden. There is a small fountain in the garden. The green plants planted around the fountain are lush and beautiful. There are also statues of people arranged in the garden. The statues are very exquisitely made and the characters are lifelike. Taking photos 📸 will definitely be a hit. After visiting this attraction, walk forward to the second Chinese cultural heritage temple attraction: Wat Dibayavari Vihara วัดทิพยวารีวิหาร Ganlu Temple. The temple was built by the first generation of Chinese who came to Thailand. It has a history of a hundred years and has gone through several generations. Praying in the temple is very effective, and local residents around here will come here to pray. The temple architecture is full of Chinese cultural and artistic style from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is gorgeous and exquisite, and it is very photogenic. After visiting this attraction, walk across the street to the third attraction: Old Siam Square. This is the first shopping mall in Bangkok. It was built in the 18th century and has a history of 100 years. The mall building still retains its century-old appearance. The architectural style is the 18th century European Gothic art style. It is tall, majestic and spectacular, and it is definitely a great place to take pictures. There are still many shops in the mall, and the first and second floors sell Thai silk clothing and handicrafts. There is a food court and big c supermarket on the third floor. You can shop and dine there leisurely. After visiting the Old Siam Square, we finally came to the century-old market in Bangkok: Phahurat Road Market ตลาดพาหุรัด. The market has a history of one hundred years and is truly a century-old market. The market buildings are simple and elegant, and have retained their style for hundreds of years, making them very photogenic. The market sells a variety of local Thai specialties at reasonable prices. You can buy souvenirs there.
