This exhibition is like a door that opens to an "imaginative playground" that everyone can experience through Bell Nakai's art. Bell Nakai combines the power of Shoujo Manga (Japanese comics for teenage girls) with the brightness of pop art. The result is the world of Happy Playland, filled with cute, sweet-eyed characters, large glasses (like they were modeled after the artist's personality), bright flowers, pixel hearts, and elements that make viewers feel like they have traveled back in time to their childhood. The name of the exhibition "Happy Playland" is not just a statement, but is reflected through the works on display, each of which presents a "world of happiness" created from the artist's imagination through various elements in the images, such as brightly colored flowers, hearts, rabbits, old telephones, and books, as if taking viewers back in time to the past full of imagination, reflecting the simplicity of happiness. And a reminder to the audience to “choose to be happy” in every moment. The exhibited works reflect the artist’s idea that happiness does not lie in seeking new things, but sometimes it can be in small corners that we have overlooked, such as playing with toys, reading comics, or even being with ourselves in a colorful world. “Happy Playland” is a space that allows the audience to unleash their imagination, just like when we were children, where there were no limitations to determine “what should be.” When we step into this exhibition, we will become a part of a playground of happiness, where every color and every element helps fill our lives with positive energy.
