The food is generally not too spicy or mildly spicy, with dishes that should have a hint of chili indeed having it, and those that should be flavorful being so. The highlight of the day is the Spicy Braised Eggs. It's a unique dish that combines the flavors of braised eggs with spicy soup, creating a special and impressive combination. Kudos to the person who came up with the idea of blending two seemingly incompatible dishes so harmoniously. The Pork Satay is a signature dish. It's decent, made with quality pork that's tender and plentiful, but not outstanding enough to order again next time. The Pad Thai is very delicious, with plenty of ingredients and chewy noodles. The flavor is intense, just the way I like it, so much so that it doesn't even need an extra squeeze of lime. The Beef Basil is exceptional, with the addition of fragrant cumin. Typically, when you eat basil dishes elsewhere, they have similar ingredients like soy sauce, seasoning sauce, and oyster sauce, making it hard to imagine how basil can be made differently. But today, Baan Restaurant has shown that adding cumin can give basil a unique character. In conclusion, I recommend ordering the Spicy Braised Eggs and Garlic Fried Beef.
