Praya Palazzo Hotel, Bangkok: Delicious Food and Stunning Views

I recently moved to the Praya Palazzo Hotel in Bangkok, located at 757/1 Somdej Prapinklao Soi 2. Once a private villa of King Rama V, it has been transformed into a luxurious hotel, retaining its royal characteristics. Access to the hotel's small pier is by boat, with a captain available 24/7 for transfers. This private transfer service is a real treat on the bustling Chao Phraya River. This hotel not only boasts a prime location, close to major transportation hubs in the city center, but also offers a tranquil and elegant environment. The hotel's decor beautifully blends royal style with modern luxury. From the welcoming front desk to the attentive room service, the entire experience is filled with warmth and care. The rooms are spacious and bright, furnished in a modern yet comfortable style. The beds, in particular, are so soft that you won't want to get up! Each room features a spacious terrace and floor-to-ceiling windows, providing stunning views of the river – perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee while admiring the riverside scenery. During my stay, I experienced top-notch service and amenities. From the spacious rooms and comfortable beds to the refreshing showers and modern details, every aspect felt thoughtfully designed. The room decor is simple and elegant, with practical amenities provided for added convenience. The hotel's restaurant, awarded a Michelin star in 2022, deserves special mention. It truly lives up to its reputation. The breakfast selection is extensive, offering fresh fruit, hot beverages, bread, and local delicacies to satisfy diverse palates. For dinner, the restaurant serves exquisite Thai dishes that are a must-try. The surrounding attractions are also worth exploring, such as Wat Pho, which is located near the hotel. Wat Pho is the oldest and largest temple in Bangkok, housing Thailand's largest reclining Buddha, numerous Buddha images and stupas, and a renowned traditional massage school. For dining, I highly recommend Sra Bua by Kiin Kiin and Siam Yacht Club. These restaurants offer not only delicious food but also stunning settings, perfect for capturing memorable photos. There are a few minor inconveniences, such as the slightly humid environment within the hotel and a less-than-powerful hairdryer. I recommend bringing your own hairdryer.😅 Also, the hotel's airport transfer service is a bit pricey; Grab offers a much more affordable alternative. However, these minor drawbacks don't detract from my overall positive impression of the hotel, which I will fondly remember. In conclusion, the Praya Palazzo Hotel in Bangkok offers a truly luxurious experience. Its prime location, excellent amenities, and delicious cuisine make it a highly recommended choice.
