Visiting Temples in Phra Nakhon District

Today, I planned to explore the inner Phra Nakhon district. One of the must-visit places, despite the heavy rain, is Wat Ratchabophit Sathit Maha Simaram Ratcha Wora Viharn, commonly known as Wat Ratchabophit. Located in Phra Nakhon, Bangkok, this temple is renowned for its unique blend of Thai and Western architectural styles. Key architectural highlights: Main Chapel and Viharn: Adorned with colorful mosaic tiles imported from abroad and intricately carved gold patterns. Great Chedi: A bell-shaped chedi in the Sri Lankan style, situated in the center of the temple, serving as a prominent and beautiful symbol. Surrounding Pavilions: The pavilions encircling the main chapel are decorated with exquisite and intricate Thai art patterns. After witnessing the beauty of Wat Ratchabophit, as a Thai, I feel deeply moved and proud of this national heritage and religious site.
