Both my parents said the high-rise swimming pool hotel in Bangkok was good

Bangkok has so many hotels that I was dazzled: the price should be moderate, the room should be able to add an extra bed, and the location should be good. After much screening, it turned out that this was the only one left! It's strange that this hotel's rating on domestic websites is not as high as on Booking, and the complaints are varied. I was hesitant at first, but then I decided to trust Booking, and indeed, it did not disappoint me, we were all very satisfied with everything! Sindhorn Midtown Hotel Bangkok is a hotel brand under InterContinental Hotels Group, which only opened in 2020, so it feels very new overall. The hotel is not on the main road, so the surrounding area is not noisy. But the location is quite good, about a 5-6 minute walk from the nearest BTS Chit Lom station (but you have to climb stairs), and less than 500 meters walking distance to the Erawan Shrine. There is a 7-11 convenience store downstairs, and there are many schools and street vendors nearby, the only downside is that I didn't see any fruit sellers downstairs. 🐘Room Some people have complained about the strange layout of the rooms, but I found it quite good. Although it's not very regular, the space is large, and it's no problem to lay out two 24-inch suitcases. Adding an extra bed was indeed a bit cramped, I originally thought it would be a sofa bed by pulling out the sofa, but instead... it was added next to the double bed, and it's been a long time since I slept so close to my mother. Probably because we were given a very high floor (27th floor), we couldn't hear the motorcycle noise downstairs at all, and the corridor was also very quiet, we slept well every night. The 28th floor is the high-rise swimming pool, and the view is beautiful. Unfortunately, it was cloudy during the four days in Bangkok, so it wasn't too hot, and the water temperature wasn't great either. 🐘Breakfast The breakfast was really amazing, and I looked forward to it every day. The restaurant prohibits wearing bathrobes and hotel slippers inside, and you need to wait at the entrance to be seated. There are various flavors of porridge, all of which are very suitable for the Chinese palate. But it seems that there are not many Chinese guests staying at this hotel (maybe they were all scared away by various warnings). Because I saw a Korean breakfast area one morning (rice mixed with toppings + soup) and a Japanese breakfast area the next day (miso soup + rice), but I never saw a Chinese breakfast area, which was a pity. Of course, maybe I just didn't wait long enough, after all, I only stayed for four nights. There is also a bar called Black Cat on the first floor. In fact, we could get one alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink per person for free every evening from 17:00-18:00, but we only came back during this time slot one evening and had a drink. The alcoholic drink was really high-proof spirits, pungent, and even a rim of sugar on the glass didn't help, it felt like drinking industrial alcohol.
