Wat Rakhang Khositaram Worawihan

Wat Rakhang Khositaram Worawihan is located in Siriraj Subdistrict, Bang Khun Non District, Bangkok. It is a second-class royal temple of the Worawihan type. It is under the administration of the Mahanikaya Sect, Region 1. This temple is an old temple built in the Ayutthaya period. It was originally called Wat Bang Wa Yai. During the Thonburi period, King Taksin the Great built a palace near Wat Bang Wa Yai. He ordered it to be elevated to a royal temple and the residence of the Supreme Patriarch during the Rattanakosin period, during the reign of King Rama I. Wat Rakhang Khositaram has a Tripitaka Hall, which is a very beautiful architecture. It used to be the palace and residence of King Rama I during his service in the Thonburi period.
