There are many rooftop bars and restaurants across the street, but it is always crowded around sunset. They say that you have to spend at least 1,000 baht to see the Wat Arun view from the closest place in these bars and restaurants (the 3 rooftop bars I looked into were like that). The place I went to said that if you sit at a regular table other than a bar table, you have to pay more than 1000 baht.
