On both sides of Bangkok's Chao Phraya River, there are various classic landmark buildings, such as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the Grand Palace, the Peninsula Hotel, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, and the Rama I Bridge. At night, these buildings are adorned with gorgeous lights, becoming even more splendid and colorful. There are two ways to enjoy a night tour of the Chao Phraya River. The first is to walk along the riverbank at night and experience the unique scenery of the Bangkok riverside. Because Bangkok is quite hot and the riverbank is relatively humid, there are many mosquitoes, so remember to bring a bottle of mosquito repellent when walking. Bangkok has many types of cruise ships, among which the representative ones are the Grand Pearl, the White Orchid, and the Chao Phraya Princess. The cruise usually starts at 19:00 and ends at 21:30, with a total duration of 2.5 hours. The Chao Phraya Princess is an upgraded version of the Grand Pearl, and is considered the newest and most luxurious cruise ship on the Chao Phraya River. It has fountains and elevators, and was previously ridden by actor Eddie Peng in the movie Operation Mekong.
