Wat Phra Sri Mahathat has important permanent objects, namely Phra Chedi Sri Mahathat, which has a small chedi enshrining the relics of the Lord Buddha and a niche on the wall containing the remains of those who have done good for the country, as deemed appropriate by the government and the House of Representatives.
