We really like the atmosphere of this restaurant because it perfectly combines modernity and historical elements, such as the arched Sino-Portuguese style of the building, decorated with antique French newspaper covers, black and white photographs showing Thai lifestyles, or a map of Siam written in French since the colonial era, along with luxurious velvet-covered chairs and beautifully patterned Thai plates, bowls, and spoons. The lighting also adds to the atmosphere, making the restaurant even more beautiful and inviting. Many of the Thai dishes here are royal recipes and are now hard to find, such as Mon curry with grilled pork neck, Ranjuan pork curry, traditional stewed pork with soybean paste, stir-fried morning glory with glass noodles and sour sausage, Khao Man Som Tam with shredded pork, and snacks like Thong Thong Sai Kai and Khao Tang Na Tang. And the dessert that the hotel recommends that you must not miss is Somchun Hima, which combines complex flavors of pomelo, kaffir lime, topped with raw mango, young ginger, and fried shallots.
