💛Wat Paknam Jolo is located on the bank of the Bang Pakong River in Tambon Pak Nam, Amphoe Bang Khla, Chachoengsao Province. Wat Paknam Jolo is a temple of the Mahanikaya sect. It was built in the late Ayutthaya period, approximately 200 years ago. 💛The unique feature of Wat Paknam Jolo is the golden chapel, the only one in Thailand that is painted gold all over. Both inside and outside the chapel are like a simulation of the image in the Daowadungsa heaven. The roof of the chapel is decorated with Naga and Dharmachakra. In the center is a pedestal with a spire. The outer glass wall is decorated with Dharmachakra patterns alternating with three-headed elephant lamps. 🙏 💛The highlight of Wat Paknam Jolo is crawling under the base of the principal Buddha image to enhance auspiciousness. When walking, walk in from the left and walk out to the right side of the principal Buddha image.
