Canada: Banff - Part 1: Attractions

During my stay in Vancouver in the summer, I went to Banff for 2 nights and 3 days! Here's how I got there: ✈️ Vancouver International Airport → Calgary Airport 1.5 hours by plane 🚍 Calgary Airport → Banff city 1.5 hours by airport shuttle There's a time difference, and Banff is 1 hour ahead of Vancouver. So, it takes about 4 hours in total! But Banff has so many charms that it's worth the time! ① Good weather → It's famous as a summer resort, and it's like Karuizawa in Japan! In winter, it snows a lot, so many people come to do winter sports. ② Beautiful scenery → The view of Cascade Mountain from the main street in the city is spectacular! The flowers were blooming beautifully too! There are also several lakes a little further away, all of which are emerald blue and very beautiful✨ I recommend taking a day trip here. ③No provincial tax This is great, isn't it? In BC, where Vancouver is, the provincial tax is 7%, and in Alberta, where Banff is, the provincial tax is 0!! So, it's more economical to buy things like Roots in Banff than in Vancouver! There are supermarkets and souvenir shops, so it might be better to buy souvenirs here🤭 If I had to mention a downside, there aren't many restaurants, so the popular ones fill up quickly! If there's a restaurant you want to go to, I recommend making a reservation well in advance! #canada #banff #overseastravel #summer
