Flying from Kuala Lumpur to Iskandar Muda International Airport takes just 1.5 hrs, easily kicking off this fantastic journey. From the airport to the city center, a Grab ride costs under IDR 80,000. Note that Grab cars don't pick up at the airport arrival gate. You need to walk to the parking lot exit. If you have a lot of luggage and don't want to drag it too far, you can negotiate with the drivers at the exit. Typically, IDR 100,000 will get you to any hotel in the city center, which is still quite reasonable. Inside, the historical records and artifacts vividly convey the impact of the disaster and highlight the strength and courage of humanity in the face of adversity. The entrance fee for foreigners is IDR 20,000. Note that the museum is closed on Fridays, so plan your visit accordingly.
