Mt. Batur, Bali

Absolutely stunning views, and some really interesting facts about the mountain which took me by surprise. Me and my partner did the sunrise hike, I would say that it is reasonably challenging as the conditions underfoot are unstable and a bit slippery but more than manageable if you are relatively fit. The way up is steep, and as you ascend it does get pretty cold, so make sure to bring a jumper with you because when you stop at the top you will cool down. The views from the top are breath taking, and if you are lucky to get a cloud free sunrise it is beautiful. We hiked the long way round and back, checking out the hot steam coming out of the active volcano, saw the black lava flow and temple. I would recommend. #newyearadventure#tripblazers#2023travelwish
