The driver was very friendly and recommended many hidden gems in Bali. Although the roads were a bit congested after entering Ubud, the scenery along the way and the enthusiastic driver made the journey enjoyable. When we arrived at the hotel, we were taken to the front desk, which was an elegant building. The front desk staff were friendly and offered us a special cold drink while checking our reservation information. We booked a basic apartment room but were upgraded to a one-bedroom villa in the canyon, which was a pleasant surprise. After checking in, the staff drove us to our room. The hotel is divided into two areas: one is close to the front desk and restaurant, with basic apartment rooms and villas; the other is a pure villa area closer to the hotel entrance. I stayed in the latter, and the room was very spacious, about 70 square meters, with a large terrace and shower area. The huge king bed and window-side couch, along with the Balinese-style rattan decorations, created a romantic atmosphere. The night was very quiet, with only the sound of birds and cicadas. The breakfast was rich and varied, with a la carte options. I especially liked the bread and detox drinks. The restaurant near the valley is perfect for breakfast, where you can enjoy the breeze and sunshine. For lunch, we chose the poolside restaurant, and the simple sandwiches and coffee were delicious. In the evening, we attended the Balinese cultural feast held by the hotel, with local cuisine and wonderful dance performances, which left a deep impression. The hotel's iconic infinity pool is amazing! You can also enjoy free afternoon tea by the pool from 3 to 5 pm. Although the gym facilities are a bit outdated, the spa area is tranquil, where you can try the hotel's own products, making it a great place to relax. The hotel offers a shuttle bus to and from Ubud Palace, but if you have enough time, it's also nice to enjoy the tranquility of the hotel. As for the surroundings, you can rent a bike from the hotel to explore the area and discover many luxury hotels and cafes. If you love nature, Alila Ubud is definitely a great place to relax. There is a monkey forest and many other interesting experiences nearby. During our stay, we enjoyed the infinity pool, rich breakfast, and excellent service every day. This is truly a resort worth visiting multiple times.
