[Ubud] Water temple! Try bathing at Tirta Empul Temple!!

Tirta Empul Temple is a water temple about 30 minutes by car from Ubud city. This temple is famous for tourists being able to bathe there. I had seen many articles saying that the prayer methods are complicated and a guide is essential, so this time I chartered a taxi with a Japanese-speaking guide and went sightseeing. It was great to be able to learn the proper way to pray and the history of the temple. Another good point is that you can take lots of photos. However, it is not too far from the city, the bathing is not too complicated, and local people also bathe there, so I felt that I could go around on my own without any worries. [Bathing procedure] ① Buy flowers as an offering from a stall near the parking lot (about 100 yen) ② Borrow a green cloth for bathing and a locker key (several tens of yen) ③ Put your belongings in the locker and change into the green cloth in the changing room ④ Pray ⑤ Take a bath ⑥ Change into your clothes and return the locker key and green cloth Individuals only did steps ②, ③, ⑤, and ⑥. Lockers and the separate changing rooms for men and women were entered with shoes on, so changing was not difficult and was clean. The water for the bathing is clean, but quite cold. I went in August, and it was very cold because it was cloudy. And it's very crowded. The local guide said that the water gets warmer during the day, but it gets very crowded... so I went at 10am, but it took quite a while to bathe in all 13 holes. It seems that it's empty first thing in the morning, so there's no stress of lining up.
