Potato Head in Bali truly lives up to its reputation as one of the top 50 hotels in the world—it's beautiful and fantastic

My birthday month trip to Bali has brought me to the seventh hotel, which is a very interestingly designed hotel, even the name is fun—Potato Head! I booked a rooftop suite, and the interior design of the room is so intriguing—the spiral staircase in the atrium garden leads directly to the rooftop, where the sky garden has sofas, dining tables, a jacuzzi... everything you need for a perfect party! The hotel has been extremely popular since it opened five years ago. Last year, the renowned ranking system 50 BEST released its first list of hotel categories: The World’s 50 Best Hotels, and Bali's Potato Head was included for leading in sustainability, creativity, and design! Among the luxury hotels in Bali that can cost thousands, Potato Head offers great value for money and an excellent location, especially since it is flanked by the W Hotel Seminyak and Alila Seminyak on either side, sharing a beach and the stunning sunset, yet at a much more affordable price—it's no wonder it's so popular! From the moment you check in, you can feel Potato Head's unique eco-friendly philosophy and personalized service—before processing the check-in, the staff will take you to the hotel's shop to introduce some eco-friendly concepts and products, and then give you an eco-bag and two metal thermos bottles. You can choose your favorite color for the eco-bag—the caps of the thermos bottles are made from different colors of discarded plastic and shells. During your stay, the hotel does not provide any plastic bottled water, but as long as you have the thermos, you can go anywhere in the hotel and have the staff fill it up with water for free, which is just awesome! Potato Head's approach to sustainability is not just about switching to larger bottles for amenities, but about reducing pollution at the source—the building materials in the hotel lobby are mostly made of red clay, volcanic ash, and shells, and you can hardly see any plastic products throughout the hotel. Many decorations are made from recycled waste bottles, plastics, foam, etc., and they are full of creativity and design, making them great for photos! Potato Head's cocktail mixing class is an experience not to be missed! And this is just one of the many courses the hotel offers. The hotel schedules a variety of classes for guests to sign up for every day from morning to night—the schedule changes every month, and all you need to do is sign up in advance. There are sports classes like yoga and boxing, as well as craft classes like cocktail mixing and handicrafts, and of course, some on environmental protection, most of which are free! Finally, I must praise the little holiday gift pack in the bathroom, which includes mosquito repellent, aloe gel, sunscreen, and disinfectant, all very practical!
