[Hokkaido] A station with two faces! Introducing Asahikawa Station

Asahikawa Station in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, is a central station in Hokkaido, used by about 1.7 million people a year, and is served by the Hakodate Main Line, Soya Main Line, Furano Line, and other lines. The station has a very interesting contrast between the urban north exit facing the offices and downtown area, and the south exit, where you are greeted by beautifully planted flowers and streams that look like the entrance to a forest. 🚉 (By the way, when I visited, a bear was spotted near the south exit.) If you are visiting as a tourist, I recommend visiting the Asahikawa Roadside Station, which is about a 10-minute walk from the south exit across the Chubetu River.
