Arita City has been dedicated to promoting ceramic culture and hosts Japan's largest pottery market every year from April 29 to May 5, where pottery enthusiasts from around the world can purchase their favorite pieces at discounted prices. What sets it apart is the Tozan Shrine located in the old streets of Arita, which features Japan's only torii gate made of ceramics.
