The giant dune

When most people think of deserts there first though is of giant sand dunes. Unfortunately, visitors across the world to deserts are often disappointed to find that the vast majority are rocky. However, if you’re visiting Jordan’s Wadi Rum protected area you are in luck. Standing out in the middle of the desert you will find a giant red sand dune. Climbing to the top might be difficult in the soft sand but it’s well worth it for the view at the top and the very reason that the film makers of Lawrence of Arabia chose this spot to make their famous posters. #aprilblooms #desert #dune
