Ming Dynasty Legacy: Tianlong Tunpu Ancient Town

During my trip to Guizhou, I visited the most well-preserved castle from the Ming Dynasty, Tianlong Tunpu, which has a history of over 600 years. The town still retains the lifestyle and cultural customs of the Ming Dynasty. Walking through the ancient streets, one feels as if they have traveled back in time. The residents of Tianlong Ancient Town are mostly 'Tunpu people,' a minority group with rich indigenous culture and traditional clothing. The houses are primarily built with stone and wood, giving the town a simple and natural charm. The town has many traditional handicraft shops and farm-to-table restaurants. The most representative folk art is 'Tiaoshen,' an ancient performance that combines theater, ritual, and entertainment. The performances are primitive and rugged, showcasing the beauty of strength. Guizhou has many ancient towns that have been forgotten by time, each with its own unique charm, making them perfect for a visit to experience the rich culture of minority groups.
