Anji Family Trip Staying at Shanan, Enjoying Peace by the Bamboo Forest and Stream

Bamboo forests, streams, morning mist, fresh air—last year’s trip to Anji with the kids was super happy, so for a staycation at the end of June this year, we decisively chose this place again! ⛰️Accommodation: Stayed at Shanan SHANAN•Shenxi SHANAN), located in Shenxi Natural Village on Longwang Mountain. It consists of three independent buildings, quiet with few people, very reassuring for staying with kids. We chose the Chi·Valley view room, with an amazing view—opening the window reveals endless greenery. The room is thoughtfully equipped: children’s toothbrushes, small slippers, safe and stylish home furnishings, full of details, making it very comfortable for the kids. ⛰️Experience: Arrived late at night, the kids fell asleep right after getting in the car and went straight to the room without fuss. Early the next morning, the kids woke me up to open the curtains—rain was hitting the glass, outside was green mountains and morning mist, the world was so quiet. The kids whispered, “Mom, it’s like a fairyland” (Unfortunately, we couldn’t play on the terrace or outdoor pool due to rain, but the staff said on sunny days they prepare small water guns for kids—definitely coming back to try next time 🏊). ⛰️Transportation: About a 3-hour drive from Shanghai to the guesthouse, the road conditions were good. The kids watched cartoons and played with toys in the car quietly. The guesthouse is halfway up the mountain, with the last stretch being an S-shaped mountain road—not too rough, driving slowly is very safe. Perfect for escaping the city hustle with kids, enjoying a peaceful weekend where kids can run free and parents can relax. ⛰️Activities: This time mainly took the kids to Jiangjun Pass rafting, about 40 minutes by car from the guesthouse. Bought small water scoops and waterproof phone cases for the kids in advance. The kids were super excited during rafting, constantly “water fighting” with us, laughing the whole time. Although a bit thrilling, the safety staff were very responsible, so it was safe and reassuring to play with the kids. Checked the weather forecast half a month in advance, hoping for sunny days to play with the kids, but ended up with heavy rain. The kids didn’t mind at all and said, “The bamboo forest looks even better in the rain.” Just like they say in Taohuawu: “Once we set off, it’s romantic.” Traveling with kids, as long as we’re together, every day is happy. 📌Accommodation Tips: Nearby luxury wild hotels/famous guesthouses—Shanan SHANAN•Shenxi (top choice for family peace and thoughtful details), Anji Kejia Wild Luxury Vacation Villa (built on the mountain, with private hot springs and treehouses, great for kids to experience).
