Yunshang Prairie Skiing Tips: 3 Years of Experience from a Veteran

I've skied here more than 10 times over the past 3 years, so I know Yunshang Prairie like the back of my hand! This is the largest ski resort in the Yangtze River Delta, with a great scale, many ski runs, complete facilities, and good snow quality. Although the price is not low, the experience is great. 💰Rental: CNY 300 on weekdays/CNY 400+ on weekends, CNY 180 for the cable car. Includes ski pass, ski equipment, and tickets to the Snow Park and Cliff Park. 🕙Opening hours: 9:00–18:00, until 20:00 on weekends in January and February. 🚗Transportation: 1 hour by car from Hangzhou, navigate to "Yunshang Prairie Visitor Center", parking is CNY 20/day; there are buses from East Station and Wulin Square, and sharing a taxi is also cost-effective. 🎿Tips: 1. Weather is very important. The cable car is not available on foggy or rainy days. It's cold on the mountain, so don't forget to keep warm. To see rime, choose a day with a temperature below 3°C. 2. Follow the route: collect tickets at the visitor center - take the bus - take the cable car - go to the ski hall to complete the formalities - rent equipment - change clothes - start skiing. 3. If you don't mind spending more, choose the VIP service. You can skip the line for the cable car and enjoy the exclusive third-floor hall, which is less crowded and offers a great experience. It's great for avoiding the crowds on weekends. 4. There are fewer people on weekdays, so go early on weekends. If you stay at a hotel on the mountain, you can have the ski resort to yourself. 5. Bring your own ski clothes if you can, or rent them. Compare prices at the foot of the mountain. 6. Beginners should use double boards. Single boards look better in photos. Instructors cost CNY 500/1 hour/2 people. 7. Goggles are a must on sunny days to prevent snow blindness. 8. Lockers are charged, but you can store unnecessary items for free at the cable car information desk. 9. Cliff Park is weather-dependent in cold weather.
