Nanxun Ancient Town

Jiangnan water town, has always been a poetic place I yearn for. I was fortunate to visit Nanxun Ancient Town in Huzhou this time, and it was truly an unforgettable travel experience. The ancient town retains a large number of ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, and every brick and tile seems to be telling an ancient story. Here lies the former residence of Zhang Shiming, a mansion that blends Chinese and Western architectural styles, which is quite eye-catching. The exquisite wood carvings, stone carvings, and brick carvings, as well as the unique stained glass windows, all let one feel the living atmosphere of the wealthy families of the time. There is also the Xiaolian Zhuang, which was once the private garden of Liu Yong. The lotus pond in the garden, although not in the blooming season, still allows one to imagine the scene of summer lotus fragrance filling the path. Pavilions, towers, artificial hills, and flowing water, every detail exudes the delicacy and elegance of Jiangnan gardens. How can one not experience the local tea culture during the journey? In the tea houses of Nanxun, I tasted the local famous tea - Anji White Tea. The fresh aroma of the tea, coupled with the tranquility of the ancient town, made me feel extremely relaxed and joyful. Of course, how can a trip be complete without the company of delicious food? Nanxun's specialty snacks - Dingsheng cake and Shuangjiao noodles, are unforgettable. The sweet but not greasy Dingsheng cake and the delicious soup of Shuangjiao noodles are rare delicious memories in the journey.
