The land of fish and rice, the home of silk

Nanxun Ancient Town is the birthplace of lake silk, renowned both domestically and internationally. The business guild halls here provide a detailed introduction to the entire process of silk production, from sericulture to the finished product. The town has a strong tradition of respecting teachers and valuing education, advocating for good family values and supporting educational endeavors even when wealthy. Huzhou brushes are also very famous, and at the entrance of one shop, there are two huge writing brushes, which are probably the largest in China. There is a river running through the ancient town, with black-awning boats constantly passing by. The banks are paved with bluestone slabs, and the streets are lined with shops, large mansions of famous and wealthy families, and there is also a Taoist temple called Guanghui Palace, with its yellow walls and gray tiles, majestic in appearance. The ancient town is free to enter.
