Yucun Village in Anji

Yucun is located in Tianhuangping Town, Anji County, and is the site of the Bamboo Sea scenic area in the Tianhuangping Scenic Spot. The village extends from east to west, surrounded by mountains, with continuous beautiful bamboo and a vegetation coverage rate as high as 96%. On August 15, 2005, the then Secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee visited Yucun for research and emphasized that, 'In the past, we talked about having both green waters and green mountains, as well as gold and silver mountains; in fact, green waters and green mountains are themselves gold and silver mountains.' The village features small bridges over flowing water, pavilions and towers leaning against each other, lush forests and tall bamboo providing shade, fields of lotus leaves, and lotus ponds reflecting the sun, all clean and elegant, with beautiful views at every step. Here, the 'Ten Scenes of Yucun' including the elegant lotus ponds, the Two Mountains meeting site, the Longqing Zen inquiry, the fragrant orchards, the brave rapids, the jade-like Dragon Pool, the autumnal thoughts of ancient trees, the charm of the old mines, the nostalgia of Yuling, and the secluded bamboo paths, make it a Zhejiang Province 4A-level scenic village, a Zhejiang Province leisure tourism demonstration village, a national civilized village, and a national beautiful and livable demonstration village.
