I love visiting Amami Oshima a few times a year! It's very convenient to take a Peach flight from Osaka. After all, it's nice to be in a tropical island. There are resort hotels here and there on the way from the airport to the city. You don't have to stay the night, so you can enjoy the resort atmosphere at the restaurants. If you have a car, it's nice to stop by. The specialty chicken rice you eat at an outdoor restaurant along the beach from lunch is the best. Seriously amazing. Amazing.
