When you pass through the large, tasteful noren curtain, you'll see a retro, heavy interior. On the left is the coffee room. The stained glass gives a sense of Taisho-era romance. ▶️If you go further in to the right, you can enjoy Aizu's traditional cuisine while looking at the hearth. ▶️The annex is a chic accommodation with a mature atmosphere. ▶️Crossing the storehouse and the atmospheric corridor to the toilet... flowers are decorated on each washbasin and it's sparkling clean!! I felt that it was very well cleaned. ▶️In Aizu, which does not have a coastline, dried fish is a valuable source of protein and an indispensable local flavor. The cod stew is made by soaking sun-dried cod in water for several days and slowly simmering it over low heat, which is a time-consuming process. The meal includes fatty dried herring fillets pickled in sansho pepper leaves, herring kelp rolls, and tempura. Other dishes include "Kozuyu", a local dish served at weddings, funerals, and New Year's celebrations, a soup made with scallops and lots of ingredients such as taro, wood ear mushrooms, and tofu...
