Aizuwakamatsu Castle, commonly known as "Tsuruga Castle", stands tall in a world of silvery white. The castle, covered in snow on the roof and dyed white, was breathtakingly beautiful, like a sumi-e painting. In winter, the sky is often covered with clouds, but if you are lucky enough to see blue skies, Tsuruga Castle's presence stands out even more, and you can feel it powerfully watching over the city of Aizu.
