The Belle Epoque and the lake

#myhiddengems Amongst the best resort towns in France. I coupled Aix les Bains with the very beautiful Annecy. It was an easy drive and come strongly recommended. Speaking of my experience in this town. It comes with a beautiful lake and bathing tradition of Natural hot Springs and mountain waters. I think the region of Savoie has some holiday gems that need exploring. Lake bourget offers some brilliant opportunities if you enjoy boating. I love lakes in general and a leisurely stroll by this lake had become a staple. There are these beautiful cafe's by the lake. I can't stress enough how much that is an activity worthy of your time. So peaceful and great for some people watching. There is wide array of watersports available if you're visiting in the summer months like I did. For those who wish to blow away their fortunes in casinos. There is the Casino du Grande circle. And yes I did see a Chinese tourist in there. But lakes and hikes are more of my things. Which brings me to another highlight. The fairy cave hike takes about 2 to 3 hours while offering stunning views of the lakes and surrounding mountains. After visiting the caves I walked to the highest point for more stunning views. Cycling around the lake was a special experience too.
