Smallest National Park in New Zealand!

Abel Tasman National Park is the smallest national park in New Zealand and is named after the first European who discovered New Zealand. It is filled with beautiful beaches and crystal clear bays. The best way to explore the park is through the Abel Tasman Coastal Track. If you are feeling adventurous, you can attempt the entire length of track which will take you 3-5 days to complete. Another option is to take a boat in and walk a portion of the trail for a day, which is what we did. During the boat ride, you will pass by this unique rock formation called the Split Apple Rock. One look at it and you will know why it’s being named so! The one day track is fairly easy with many great views, and it ends at the white sandy beach where you can rest and relax if your time allows.
