Walking up the short staircase to the auction hall's visitor bridge, I was amazed by the vast open space. This warehouse covers an area of 1.3 million square meters. The visitor bridge is elevated about 4 to 5 meters above the warehouse floor, allowing you to observe the numerous small electric transport trains carrying containers of flowers and plants as they move along the intricate railway network below. Visitors can't get closer to the flowers than standing on the elevated walkway above the trading and transport floor. After all, the focus here is on the flowers, not the visitors. The auction rooms are located at the far end of the bridge, and visitors are not allowed to enter these rooms reserved for traders and buyers. It is reported that the daily transaction volume here reaches 30 million flowers, with a turnover of €8.8 million. Once sold, the containers are directly handed over to the buyers. Tickets can be purchased at the visitor center for €11.5. The auctions are held from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 11 AM, with Thursday closing at 9 AM.
