Believe it by yourself by visiting there! It was our weekend trip to Wenzhou from Suzhou. After 5 hours of high speed train when we came out of the Wenzhou station, we already loved that place. The surrounding was amazing. We lived in a nearby hotel (walking distance) since our plan was to go to Yandangshan mountain very next day. Next morning after arriving at the Yandangshan station (30 mins from Wenzhou station), we had to transfer bus twice to go to the mountain place. Luckily at that time the bus tickets were free may be for attracting more tourists. First we went to see the big waterfall (Dalongqiu) that is one of the main attractions of Yandangshan. The water force wasn't so heavy though, however it was a pleasant view. Our next destination was the glass bridge at the peak of Lingyan temple. "The greatest view comes after the hardest climb" - you will believe it by yourself if you can make it. I literally lost my words to express after arriving at the peak! Really! You can have a glimpse in the pictures. That wasn't all. There was a breathtaking performance in the sky! I better keep it as a surprise for you guys if you want to visit there. Btw, everyday at 3 pm the show takes place! Due to time constraints, we had to return at the train station. Yandangshan has a lot to offer! As soon as you enter the scenic area, Lingfeng Scenic Area will greet you with strange peaks and rocks. Gassho Peak looks like a giant Buddha with his hands clasped together, presenting different shapes at different times of the day. When the lights are on at night, it looks like a pair of embracing lovers, which is amazing. The night view of Lingfeng is a unique sight in Yandang Mountain. It is recommended to visit it when night falls. Under the hazy moonlight, the outline of the mountain and the lights are intertwined, creating a mysterious and romantic atmosphere. Move to Lingyan Scenic Area, where there is a profound cultural history and Xu Xiake once left his footprints here. Looking up, Tianzhu Peak and Zhanqi Peak rise from the ground like two sharp swords piercing the sky. The flying show in the scenic area is not to be missed. The performers walk and jump in the sky, which is thrilling and shows the spirit of the people of Yandang Mountain who are not afraid of danger. The performance times are generally around 10:00 am and 15:00 pm, so plan your itinerary in advance. When you come to the Dalongqiu Scenic Area, the Dalongqiu Waterfall is the undisputed protagonist. The hundred-meter-high waterfall cascades down from the cliff, majestic and magnificent, like the inverted Milky Way. In the early morning, Bailong Mountain is shrouded in an unexpected mist. The villages at the foot of the mountain appear and disappear, and the distant ridges are like ink marks smudged on the horizon, resembling an unfinished ink painting. It is renowned for its towering cliffs, grotesque rocks, unusual stone chambers, and clear, pristine pools. Along with Lingyan Temple and Dalongqiu Waterfall, it forms the "Three Wonders of Yandang." The area is a breathtaking panorama of layered peaks and fantastically shaped rock formations. The night view of Lingfeng is particularly enchanting, with the shapes of the peaks shifting and changing as you move, creating an inexpressible magic. Two remarkable caves, Guanyin Cave and Big Dipper Cave, are must-sees for visitors. The key difference between Lingfeng and other scenic areas is its night view – the true essence of Yandang Mountain. The seemingly ordinary peaks of the daytime transform into mystical figures under the cloak of night, creating a surreal, otherworldly experience. You can easily combine the day and night views of Lingfeng into a circular route. The classic daytime route takes you through the "Fruit Box Three Views" and the East and West Yaotai Terraces, followed by Guanyin Cave and Big Dipper Cave in the central area. Finally, return via the night viewing path on the other side. Folding Palms Peak is one of Yandang Mountain's most iconic sights. Formed by Lingfeng Peak and Yitian Peak, it reaches a height of 270 meters, piercing the sky amidst the surrounding peaks. The peak takes on various forms in the hazy twilight. Viewed from the southwest corner of Lingfeng Hotel, it resembles a slender woman in a cheongsam, gazing wistfully into the distance, known as the "Lovesick Maiden." Move to the eaves of the hotel and look back, and the maiden transforms into a majestic eagle perched high, wings folded.
