In front of the same castle where Jay Chou had his wedding, the Christmas tree is still up, frost has settled on the dome, and the lawn is wrapped in misty cold air, like stepping into the old manor dream from "Jane Eyre"📜 🏰 Cold winter photo spots: 1️⃣ Lawn in front of the castle’s main gate: Christmas tree + misty dome, wearing a coat here gives you an automatic “movie heroine” filter (windy but 100% photo-worthy) 2️⃣ Corridor arches: shoot the castle silhouette against the backlight, cool gray tones + dark green lawn, that’s the classic British vintage vibe 3️⃣ Castle steps: sit on the steps and shoot the dome from below, the composition directly matches a famous scene from "Downton Abbey" ❄️ January exclusive experience: ✔️ The fireplace inside the castle burns all day, the warm scent of wood carries the Christmas afterglow ✔️ Very few tourists! “Love is the dawn after overcoming pride and prejudice.” Visiting Darcy Manor instantly transported me back to "Pride and Prejudice," and now I truly understand Mr. Darcy’s charm! We started from Yorkshire, took a bus 200 meters to the left of York Station to Wakefield Westgate (the staff called out the destination when boarding, so you can just wait nearby once you arrive), then took a train to Sheffield. Right across the station is bus stop 218. (Many say the 218 is often late; when we went, it was only a few minutes late, but on the way back it was consistently delayed, so we ended up taking the Blue Badge bus!) It took about an hour to reach Darcy Manor! We bought tickets offline (house + garden). The manor’s garden really feels like stepping into a painting! I recommend going early; we arrived after 3 PM and had to rush a lot! In short, Darcy Manor is a place I would visit again. I suggest checking the weather forecast and going on a nice day for better photos!

Explore the Yorkshire countryside town of Haworth, England’s most beautiful small town. Half-day itinerary: Stroll along the town’s cobblestone streets, where you’ll find some craft shops and cafes. Then be sure to walk up the hill—the scenery is absolutely stunning!!! There are 2 hiking routes: one goes from the village to the hilltop (see photo 7), then from the hilltop down along the road (see photos 8 and 9), forming a loop that takes about 20 minutes one way. Transportation: Take a 23-minute train from Leeds to Keighley (48 minutes from York). After exiting the station, walk 8 minutes to the bus center and take bus B1, B2, or B3. After 21 stops and 15 minutes, get off at Brigehouse Lane (Haworth). Buses run every 20 minutes, and the fare is £2.50. Option 2: After touring Haworth in the morning, take the B3 bus for 35 minutes to Hebden Bridge town for sightseeing. The bus fare is £2. Then take a 40-minute train back to Leeds. You can board the bus and pay directly with a credit card that has the WiFi symbol—no need to buy tickets in advance or swipe again when getting off.

#falladventures 🍁 Yorkshire Sculpture Park – Misty Autumn Art Adventure 🌫️ A random visit to Yorkshire Sculpture Park turned into a surprisingly magical experience. The park is vast and open, dotted with remarkable sculptures blending seamlessly into rolling hills and woodland. Autumn adds a special touch—misty mornings and a light drizzle toward the end of our visit created an eerie, cinematic atmosphere that enhanced the art. The contrast of vibrant autumn leaves against the textures of stone, metal, and wood sculptures made every corner photogenic. £9.50 entrance felt fair for the immersive experience. Walking between large-scale installations, we discovered hidden gems tucked among trees and pathways. Even in just a few hours, it was easy to feel inspired, reflective, and playful at the same time. A return on a sunny day is a must, as the changing light transforms the sculptures and landscape, offering endless possibilities for exploration, photography, and peaceful wandering.

#getgoing2025On my journey, I came across a beautiful spot where spring blossoms were in full bloom. The vibrant flowers created a stunning backdrop, and I stopped at a nearby café to rest. I ordered a fresh pastry and a cup of tea, which cost around £6. It was a peaceful moment, surrounded by the colors of the season, and the simple meal added to the enjoyment of the day. It was the perfect stop on my travels to take in the beauty of nature and recharge.

Glide down the river on sweetly named #Rowingboats then come back to dry land for a delicious afternoon tea. The scenery is breathtaking and so photogenic. We parked in the town above and walked down. The town has little independent shops which are really welcoming and lovely to spend a while looking around in them. There’s also the castle ruins if you’re into history
