Just got back from Yongxiu, here’s some harsh truth Going to Yongxiu in December really isn’t the best choice, but if you’re like me and enjoy that "few people, beautiful scenery" vibe, then keep this guide handy. 💁‍♀️💁‍♀️ First, the weather: December in Yongxiu is really cold—not dry cold, but damp cold. When the wind blows, it feels like the chill seeps right into your bones. I recommend wearing a down jacket + thermal underwear + scarf. Don’t be like me and just wear a thin jacket—you’ll be shivering nonstop. 🌬️🌬️ As for transportation, I took the high-speed train from Nanchang, which took about 40 minutes—pretty convenient. Once you arrive at Yongxiu Station, a taxi to the county town takes about 15 minutes and costs around 20 yuan. The large terrace facing West Sea, sunlight streaming onto the water like an oil painting, light and shadow filtering through the linen curtains—it's as comfortable as a scene from a healing movie. Comfort was the theme of my vacation in Jiangxi, so it was the main factor I considered when choosing accommodation. So what attracted me here? 1️⃣ Floor-to-ceiling window sea view room: I personally love staying in rooms where I can see the best view from my bed when I travel. Waking up each day, I don't have to rush; I can leisurely enjoy the beautiful scenery. This place perfectly met my needs. 2️⃣ Water activities: The hotel has its own water sports center with paddleboards, kayaks, and sailboats! I've always wanted to go sailing to watch the sunset, and this trip fulfilled my wish. I highly recommend booking a sunset sailing trip in advance; hotel guests get an exclusive discount.
