You can take bus S15 from Jiantan MRT Station directly to Qingtian Gang. In the summer, the temperature at Qingtian Gang in the morning is 5 to 6 degrees lower than in the city, making it very cool and pleasant. The Qingtian Gang grassland is one of the most beautiful areas in Yangmingshan. The vast, flat grassland combined with easy-to-walk wooden paths makes it suitable for all ages. You can closely observe the ecology of the free-roaming water buffaloes at Qingtian Gang and enjoy a distant view of Taipei City. Upon arriving at Qingtian Gang, your mood will instantly brighten. If you don't want to take the bus back directly, you can hike to Lengshuikeng or Jyuansi Waterfall to absorb some phytoncides. Lengshuikeng is closer, and on the way, you will pass through the Jingshan Suspension Bridge and a small white pool called Milk Lake, which is also a small attraction in Yangmingshan. Yangmingshan National Park, located in northern Taiwan near Taipei, is renowned for its beautiful scenery and diverse flora. There are numerous hiking trails in Yangmingshan of varying difficulty levels. I chose Qingtiangang Circular Trail, one of the easiest hiking trails to bring my two kids for a hike. The circular trail starts at Lingtouyan land god temple at Qingtiangang, passing Qingtiangang Grassland, Yangmingshan Ranch and leads back to the land god temple. The trail is around 2.4 kilometers long. The trail offers unobstructed views of the nearby Mt Qixing, Mt. Qigu, Mt. Huangzuei and Mt. Zhugao. We went to (Young Marshal Zen Garden) for lunch. Then we went to (Yangming Spring) on ​​Yangming Mountain to drink tea. Then we went to (David's Little Lamb) next to the US Military Club for afternoon tea. There were two cute alpacas in the restaurant. They lay lazily and walked slowly. They were very tame and cute. They would not get angry if guests touched them. They were so cute. We drank latte, mixed juice, a pot of health tea, longan and red date tea, and a plate of fruit donuts. It was so delicious.

Getting There - This place isn’t really located at Yang Ming Shan. It’s actually called Zhu Zi Hun or 竹子湖. There’s trials along side where connects to other parks on Yang Ming Shan. Attractions - What’s nice here is actually the fruits and vegetables that are sold right off the farmers doorstep. This place is really underrated as tour guides only bring you to places that have activities (or tourist might complain the itinerary are boring). If you were to stay in an Airbnb that features a kitchen, it’s good to get some fresh vegetables here and take a morning trial all my the woods. Food & Restaurants - Some restaurants nearby that features home-cooked food by the owners Shopping - Fruits, Vegetables, cooked-food.

However, if you find the right spot where it meets the cool valley, you can go in and enjoy the hot springs. I've been to hot springs operated by companies a few times, but this was my first time to see a naturally formed hot spring, so it was very meaningful.
