I finally visited the Dolomites, a place I had always wanted to go! Although my schedule was tight, I managed to spend 2 nights in the Dolomites, with 1 night and 2 days dedicated to exploring the western part efficiently. Here's my recommended itinerary 🥳 Day 1: Lake Carezza - Check-in at Ortisei accommodation - Explore Ortisei village - Lunch - Sunset at Santa Maddalena - Accommodation Day 2: Alpe di Siusi - Gelato in Ortisei village - Seceda - Lunch at Sofie Hut in Seceda - Accommodation 【Recommended Attractions】 1. Lake Carezza: This was the most beautiful spot in the Dolomites. We stopped by Lake Carezza as soon as we arrived, and the weather was perfect, making it a truly happy moment 🥹🩵. The vast Alps, the vibrant lake color, and the reflection of the mountains on the clear water were unforgettable. Be sure to visit Lake Carezza! 2. Alpe di Siusi: The second-best spot was Alpe di Siusi! It was the green meadow of my dreams 😭. It reminded me a bit of "Howl's Moving Castle." I was worried there might not be any wildflowers since it was June 1st, but there were plenty in bloom, and the weather was perfect for trekking! It was like stepping into a fairytale 💛. 3. Santa Maddalena: You must visit here for the sunset! The sunset view from Santa Maddalena is one of the best I've ever seen. Since it's a village on a mountain, good weather is essential for a clear view. We were lucky with the weather at the end of May and early June, and we saw the Santa Maddalena mountain range without a single cloud! The only downside was that there were some clouds on the opposite side, so the mountains didn't turn as red during the sunset. Still, we were fortunate to see the mountain range clearly, and it was a wonderful experience 💚. 【Recommended Restaurants】 1. Turonda: We stayed in the center of Ortisei village and visited this pizza place based on Google reviews. When in Italy, you must try pizza! 😊 We ordered a classic Margherita pizza and a gourmet pizza, and both were absolutely delicious. 2. Sofie Hut (Seceda): If you visit Seceda, make sure to stop by Sofie Hut and try their carbonara. Also, I recommend purchasing a 1-day Dolomiti Pass for the cable cars, which allows you to visit two places in a day at a much more reasonable price 👍🏻.

Passionate Italian Journey (4) World Natural Heritage - Dolomites Verona-Bolzano-Verona April 23, 2025 (Day 3) Weather: Cloudy, 7-18 degrees. After yesterday's long flight followed by sightseeing, plus the effects of jet lag, I felt "dazed and confused" and "disoriented" in the evening, with low efficiency and mistakes in my travel journal. By 11 PM, I could barely stay awake and went straight to bed, sleeping soundly through the night. I woke up at 6 AM feeling refreshed and back to normal, ready to start a new day of exploration. After about two hours of driving, we headed north into the eastern foothills of the Alps - the Dolomites (Photo 1). The Dolomites, a world-famous tourist destination and outdoor sports paradise, is a World Natural Heritage site with 18 peaks averaging over 3,000 meters in height and 9 natural parks. The sun and mountain peaks appeared and disappeared intermittently. Among the many peaks, the 3,300-meter-high Geisler Peak, nicknamed the "most photogenic mountain peak," stands out (Photo 2). This area boasts Italy's most beautiful glaciers, forests, meadows, lakes, streams, and other landforms, with beautiful mountains and extraordinary peaks (Photo 3). The deep and long Val di Funes valley, situated at the foot of the Geisler Peak, has earned the reputation as the "Pearl of South Tyrol" (Photo 4). Upon entering Val di Funes, your eyes are greeted with fresh, lush greenery (Photo 5), well-arranged forests, and mountains embracing all sides (Photo 6). The Geisler Peak stands majestically behind the valley, like strong arms silently protecting the town and its residents (Photo 7). On the hillside, the spire of St. Magdalena Church, together with the surrounding traditional-style houses, verdant lawns, and distant forests, creates a beautiful rural landscape (Photo 8). Nearby Lake Carezza, at an altitude of over 1,600 meters, is a hidden gem in the Dolomites. This small lake formed by melting mountain snow and ice displays pure emerald-colored water, backed by snow-capped mountains, creating a scene of perfect beauty (Photo 9). By the time we finished touring the Dolomites, it was past 3 PM. This is also in Bolzano. The color of the water is so incredibly pretty! Before going to Venice, I went to a place called Ortisei. I drove there and was really surprised!!

The lake is located at an altitude of 1,520m, so the air is cool and clear. There is a promenade around the lake, and it takes about 20 minutes to go around it. There is also a bus from Bolzano Station. About 30 minutes.

Visiting Carezza Dolomites was an amazing experience. The scenery where the towering mountains meet the beautiful blue Lake Carezza is breathtaking.
