Beautiful station with neo-Moorish architecture: Toledo Train Station, Spain
#1月好去地方2025
When it comes to Spanish train stations, we have to think of "Toledo Train Station". This earth-toned Moorish-style building has a four-corner tower-style bell tower on one side of the main building. The top is decorated with multi-petal arches and staggered battlements. It can be described as meticulously crafted and quite beautiful.
The interior of the station is just as stunning as its exterior. The walls and floors are made up of a large number of floral tiles, and the windows are inlaid with stained glass, which makes the sunlight that shines in even brighter, cleaner and more colorful. There is also an antique wooden carved ticket counter in the center of the station. It is quite exquisite and fits in with the antique retro feel of Toledo.
The train station is located outside the ancient city area. You need to pass through the moat and the city gate to enter the ancient city of Toledo. Transportation also requires a taxi, which is slightly less convenient than the bus.

【Spain】Toledo Ancient City: Toledo Cathedral, Walking Down the Small Town Road
#古城
The ancient city of Toledo is located in central Spain and was once the capital of Spain, only to be moved to present-day Madrid by the then king in 1561. The ancient city was also listed as a World Heritage Site in 1986. Coming to one of the sanctuaries that gathers three major cultures (Christian/Catholic, Islamic, Judaism), the famous local building is the Dorit Cathedral, founded in 1226. It is one of the three 13th-century Gothic cathedrals in Spain. Entering the Earl's funeral is a must see.
A major feature of the shops on the street is selling metal crafts, ancient swords, daggers, etc. There will also be a full set of warrior armor outside the shop! The ancient city gave me the feeling that ~ many ramps, very narrow pedestrian paths, when there are cars will be more dangerous.

Toledo, Spain - Take a sightseeing train to visit the historical city of Toledo
#train #100 ways to travel
Travel freely in Spain and Portugal and visit the historic city #Toledo on the outskirts of Madrid, Spain. It is one of the oldest cities in Europe and a cultural town listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It takes about 30 minutes to get from Madrid Atocha Train Station to Toledo Station, but you still have to walk 20 minutes to the old town, or take a taxi.
Toledo was once the capital of the Kingdom of Spain. The castle is towering and upright, overlooking the entire city and moat. It has the imposing manner of dominating the world! Because it occupies a vast area, there are not only height differences, but also the best way to see the entire town and the other side of the moat is to take the Toledo Train Vision Zocotren.
The adult ticket is €6.50, and you can watch the sunset at 18:30 on the last flight. It is best to make an appointment to buy tickets in advance. Starting from the main square of Zocodover, the sightseeing train will take you around the main attractions of Toledo, giving you a panoramic view of everything in and outside the city. The car is also equipped with a headset tour guide, which actually has a Chinese audio introduction, which is so considerate!
The whole trip takes about 45 minutes. When the train leaves the city and goes around to Mirador Toledo, a hill across the moat, the driver will stop for 5 minutes and let you take a photo with the ancient city of Toledo. It is very spectacular and brings you to the European Middle Ages. Visually, I highly recommend this itinerary!
The ancient town of Toledo usually arranges a day trip and returns to Madrid that night. However, in order to experience the charm of the Spanish state-run hotel Parador de Toledo, it is recommended to stay for one night.

Stay at Spain’s medieval monastery hotel: Pardor de Toledo
#parador is a brand of Spanish state-owned hotels. Most of them are located in renovated ruins such as castles, monasteries, and manors. It retains the aesthetics of ancient buildings and incorporates modern classical low-luxury. It has an excellent location. The best choice to experience the Spanish Empire style in the Middle Ages.
This time I stayed in the ancient city #toledo. It is a condescending ancient city with a moat surrounding it. Under the sunset, it looks majestic and simple. The hotel is on a high ground outside the moat, overlooking the entire ancient city of Toledo, and the view is quite vast.
The hotel is a converted monastery and is made of carved bricks and stones. It maintains the unique earthy color of the ancient city and has mottled historical traces. The interior of the hall is in European elegant style, with portraits of kings from past dynasties hanging on the walls, and indispensably decorated with crystal lamps and candlesticks.
The room layout is elegant and simple, but the details are in place. The bed is moderately soft and hard, making it easy to sleep. There is a walk-out terrace in the room with a good view of the swimming pool. As for the room price, a double room including breakfast is about NT$6,000.
The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor settings. When dining outdoors, you can enjoy the night view of the entire ancient city, coupled with the gentle breeze and night scenery, it is very enjoyable! Breakfast is also a sumptuous European buffet, with a variety of fruits and breads.
Different from modern chain hotels, come to a Spanish town to experience a parador and stay in a medieval ruins!

🌅 Spain is a country with a really strong sun, so the sunset is often beautiful. If you go to the Toledo observatory called Mirador del valle, you can see the beautiful sunset in Toledo.
Usually, it is recommended to take a small train or bus to the observatory, but it is not too difficult to walk, and you can get there after walking for about 30 minutes while enjoying the scenery, so you can walk up.
When the sun sets and the sky turns orange, the view is impressive!
If you are traveling to Toledo, don't miss the sunset at the Toledo observatory ❤️

🥠In Toledo, Spain, you must try the local traditional sweet called Mazapan. It is a sweet and sour sweet made with sugar, eggs, etc., and it is a traditional sweet made in Christian monasteries!
At first, I was disappointed because it was too bland and sweet and not special, but it was addictive and I bought it three times during the two days I stayed in Toledo!!?ㅎㅎ
If you go to Toledo, you must try Mazapan 😊😊

📍 Oasis Backpackers’ Toledo
🏩 For backpackers in their 20s, emotional accommodation is a shared room hostel. The best choice to save on travel expenses while hanging out with backpackers from all over the world, a shared room hostel!
I stayed at a 5-person hostel at Oasis Backpackers’ Toledo during my recent trip to Toledo, Spain. Since it was a sudden trip, I tried to make a reservation the day before, but hotel rooms were too expensive.
When I was backpacking, I used to stay at shared room hostels, and I went to a hostel after a long time thinking about that time. It felt young and energetic.
It was located in the city center of Toledo, so it was easy to get anywhere, and the friendly host gave me detailed travel tips for Toledo.
How about a hostel, an emotional accommodation for backpackers?

Toledo @ Castilla La Mancha ⛪️
Toledo is an important city in Spanish history and a cultural heritage site!
It takes about 30 minutes by AVE (bullet train) from Madrid's Atocha Station.
Historically, this place has been under the control of various powers, so it is a city where the cultures of three religions, Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, coexist, and it was the capital of the former Visigothic Kingdom.
The view of Toledo's old town across the Tagus River is still burned into my memory 🥹
It is such an attractive city that there is a proverb that says, "If you only have one day in Spain, don't hesitate to go to Toledo."

There is a hidden gem outside of Madrid which is just less than an hour train ride! And that place is called Toledo!
Why is Toledo City Popular?

A Day in Toledo
Toledo is a recommended day-trip destination for those who go to Madrid. It’s only an hour-train away from Atocha station in central Madrid and there are trains almost every hour. The train ticket can be under €20 depending what class you would like to sit.
If you plan to walk around the ancient city, remember to bring your hat/ umbrella / sunscreen if you’re worried about getting freckles or tanned because there is not much shade or cover in the city unless you stay indoor. I did not have anything and walked under the sun for 6 hours… and my skin needs a lot of first-aid afterwards.
Recommended to have a walking tour both in the centre where all the shops are and also up the hills and lookouts. Also there are a few museums if you fancy learning more about the local cultures. Some local musicians will play traditional Toledo music at the central plaza outside the McDonald’s there at noon if you happen to be there around that time. #celebratewithtrip #toledo #ancientcity

Once you step on this side of the Spanish land, you feel like you have returned to medieval time - there are old buildings, fortresses, decoration and souvenirs of armours, swords and ancient calligraphy, and a place to show a movie of how the town developed over the years. It’s quiet and pleasant. Good escape from the busy city centre! #walkingtour #oldtown #spain

The brilliance of Toledo, Spain
#fallingforfall #bucketlistreboot #tripblazers #toledo #spain
On my recent trip to Central and Western Europe, I visited Toledo, Spain, for the first time! Located in Central Spain, Toledo is a medieval city built atop a hill. What I found most stunning about this city was the medieval Moorish/Arabic architecture. Fun fact, the majority of Spain, especially the central and southern parts, were once conquered by the Muslim Moors for hundreds of years! Check out the photos to see stunning sceneries of Toledo in the beginning of fall.
Guide to visiting Alcázar de Toledo ⬇️

🚗 Private car or tour hire. Ride sharing services do not operate in Toledo!

Medieval Hotel Toledo
This time we visited the ancient city of Toledo, not far from Madrid, and stayed at the Alfonso VI Hotel in the city center.
The hotel has a medieval feel and is surrounded by iron soldiers, making it a great place to check in.
The room we stayed in was said to be a triple room, but it was actually a double room with an extra bed, so it was quite crowded. The bathroom had a bathtub, and I liked the terrace the most, with a great view.
The hotel includes breakfast, the food is ok, but you need to pay attention to the dirty dishes, as the dishwasher may not be able to clean them thoroughly, so it is best to bring your own cleaning supplies.
The hotel is in a good location, basically all the attractions are within walking distance, and it's great to stroll through the ancient city.

pizza lovers get closer to COMES PIZZERIA☺
it's location is in a hidden alley way. but when you Comes in... wow.. the interesting place with a nice vibe. The staff are super friendly and also helpful with checking for allergens. They speak English and Spanish, very friendly and service it's good.the colorful space for pizzas, burgers, tapas & burritos, with a vegetarian selection also. the pizza was very fantastic that it’s thin crust with a solid undercarriage.
They had some locally made liquors which seems interesting to try. I had a home made lemonade with mint and ginger which was really refreshing after a long walk under the heat of Toledo.
I would Comes Here again if there any chance visiting toledo again.#happytrip #foodie #pizzalover #toledo #spaintravel

it feels like you've gone back to the Middle Ages😮
So, I definitely recommend you take a leisurely walk down the alleys👍🏻

Spain [Toledo Cathedral]
The Toledo Cathedral is one of the three major Gothic cathedrals in Spain, built in the 13th century.
It is so large that its splendor is beyond words.
However, if you go to the Toledo Cathedral, the one thing you must see is the ‘Eucharistic Monstrance.’
It is supported by four great angels, and the cross in the center is made of diamonds.
It is a very precious treasure, so it is currently only on display, but it is said to be used very occasionally during important events.
I also remember the sacristy, which has Luca Giordano’s ceiling painting and El Greco’s The Stripping of Christ.
There is a reason they are all masterpieces. It is difficult to express in words the elaborateness and grandeur when you see them in person. :)

Have you ever heard of Toledo, Spain? The place you see in the picture is Toledo Cathedral! It is one of the three major Gothic cathedrals in Spain, built in the 13th century. In particular, the sunlight coming in through the small window on the ceiling of the second picture is said to be really famous for illuminating the statues :) It looks like light coming down from heaven! And it was amazing and surprising that you could see such delicately drawn paintings even though the ceiling of the cathedral is so high! I hope you all visit it at least once~
