2025 Tamworth Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in April)

Had a fantastic time at Drayton Manor with my son and his friend. The park was spotless and all the staff so friendly!! Everything is close enough not be walking around all day but we'll spaced so you never felt crowded. Can't wait to take him again next year, thinking about getting season passes as it is really close to us. A very dated park ,you can see new owners are begining to renew re vamp. But curruntly a very tired park, with many rides not working or in very limited capacity, signage is dreadfull,you need to carry map and follow from there Really enjoyed our day. Fish and chips slightly overpriced but very tasty so would buy again.

#themepark Our plans changed, and we swapped Edinburgh for a 3 - day Birmingham trip, with a day at Thomas Park, a great choice. Park: Drayton Manor Theme Park Highlights: 2/3 of facilities for kids over 90cm (adult - accompanied), better than back home. Hard to get a return taxi. Accommodation: Staybridge Hotel in Bull Ring, IHG. Spacious, with a kitchen, 1300 RMB. Near Chinatown. Fun: Kids had a blast. Must - try rides: lake - side train, Accelerator, Thomas Park train, more. Time: In at 10:30 am, out at 4:30 pm. #familytrip #themepark #localguides #historicallandmarks #trip

Tamworth is a brilliant place to visit, lots of things to see, and quite a nice part of the country. Not normally a part of the uk I go but I’m glad I did. Great memories. It also has really good transport connections due to the station and lots of bus services. I’d definitely recommend a trip there. Makes a different but nice day out. Especially if the weather is good.

hi We have visited more times than we can count so take it from us when we say this park is well run and the staffs are lovely, courteous and friendly. I have nothing but praise for the management and staff. The fireworks display on the 20th Oct 2021 was such lovely sight to behold. I felt ever so patriotic listening to the play-back of the PM's positive commentry through the pandemic period. We will keep renewing our annual pass. Thank you for creating such a deeply rewarding experience. Definitely recommended for families with primary aged children. Usually when we visit theme parks, there are only a handful of rides they are suitable for our children, but we were able to fill up the entire visit with rides and activities that they loved. #themepark
