There are well-maintained walking paths, so you can enjoy the stunning views of the gorge even without taking a boat ride. Additionally, there are spots related to mythology, such as Takachiho Shrine and Amano Iwato Shrine, making it a recommended destination for those interested in history and culture. Access is somewhat inconvenient, but it is generally visited by car from Kumamoto or Miyazaki. There are also restaurants in the area where you can taste Takachiho beef, allowing you to enjoy both sightseeing and gourmet experiences.

It is not difficult to travel independently. The air is fresh and the weather is comfortable when you get there. In fact, there are beautiful scenery to be enjoyed in Takachiho Gorge all year round, including spring cherry blossoms and winter snow. In the early summer, you can breathe the fresh mountain air during the new green period. In autumn, the maple leaves dye the surrounding environment a bright red. The beautiful scenery always attracts tourists to check in and take photos. Those who like hiking will be happy. If you want to take a boat to appreciate the "Manai Waterfall" and experience the beauty and grandeur of nature, you must make a reservation in advance. The Takachiho Gorge, which stretches for about 7 kilometers, is located in the north of Miyazaki Prefecture. Even if you start from the center of Miyazaki City, it takes about 2 to 3 hours. If you don’t have access to JR, you must take a bus. When driving by yourself, please note that the road down the mountain into the canyon is full of hairpin bends, so novice drivers should be careful.

However, in the end, the noodles that could not be picked up were delivered at the exit. The thin noodles are a bit like rice noodles, but have the chewy texture of buckwheat noodles.
