Viewing of Sunflower bloom at Taebaek
#flowerblossom #100waysoftravel
Flower viewing is part of my hobby and this time, I traveled down to view the blossoming of sunflower. There is a vast field with tens of thousands of sunflower being planted at the flower bed, and the blossoming is peak at that time. You can see the vast yellow flower in the middle of Taebaek mountain which gives you a very nice scenery behind the scene. Besides, there are also wild cosmos beside the sunflowers and this adds more colours to the picture. Journey could be a bit far and hilly but it's worth the travel. Will definitely do this again.

Taebaek Mountain National Park
On a snowy day, Taebaek Mountain is simply a very beautiful park. When my friend and I reached the summit, we were at a loss for words to describe the place, and the view was clearly an eternal expanse of snow-covered hills. After visiting about 12 of Korea's great national parks, the scenery I was fortunate enough to see at Taebaek Mountain was of the highest value.
I started to enjoy walking and playing with snow in Yeokelsa, and there was a distance from Taebaek Station to this place.
The walk can be done in less than two hours.
The beauty of Korea's mountain ranges is that every peak is really great, and you can walk a long distance in a day. Like many of Korea's sacred mountains,
Now, when I think of the wild beauty of Gangwon Province and the elements of nature, I think of Taebaek Mountain. It may be surprising because Seoraksan National Park is located in the same province. Seoraksan is undoubtedly exceptional and surpasses Taebaek Mountain in beauty, but Taebaek Mountain is unique to you and the mountain itself.

A good place to visit when traveling to Taebaek ❄️
1. Gumunso
When you see it in person, it is a place where you can exclaim in amazement because of its mysterious atmosphere
That is why I often visit this place every time I go there, and it is one of Taebaek's representative tourist attractions designated as a natural monument, so you should definitely visit it at least once!
ℹ️The parking lot is well-maintained and it is not crowded, so it is easy to look around.
2. Taeseongsilbi
Taebaek, famous for its briquette ribs. A place where you can eat high-quality Korean beef (galbisal) grilled with real briquettes at a slightly cheaper price.
Eating special cuts here is not cheap, but it is real briquette fire,
so it has the same atmosphere and taste as this place, so I visit it often!

After visiting Sapporo, I wanted to see snow again as an aftereffect, so I went there
I applied for drone filming and filmed and enjoyed the snow
It had been snowing for a while, so there was no snow on the trees,
but if it snows, it seems like a place that is not jealous of Hokkaido to easily go by car and see the snow.

Taebaek Snow Festival with Tiniping✨️
#WinterTravel #TaebaekTravel
There must be no one who has not been here while traveling to Taebaek.
It is a must-visit place in Taebaek that you must visit at least once. It is located in downtown Taebaek,
so it is easy to stop by, but it still retains the feel of the event site from the snow flower festival that ended recently.
That is why there are many more photo zones🥹
It is one of the most famous travel courses in Taebaek,
so don't forget to visit❤️

Taebaek Hwangji Pond where the Taebaeksan Snow Festival was held🩵
#WinterTravel #TaebaekTravel
I first visited here during my Taebaek trip and this was my first time here. Why is this place so pretty?🥹
The Taebaek Snow Festival ended a while ago, but it still
feels like the sculptures and festival site are still there. I was especially happy to see the Tiny Pings, which were the main attraction of this year's festival,
and they were still there.
Perfect for a photo zone✨️

How about a trip to Taebaek, Gangwon-do in the winter? This place offers fantastic snowy scenery.
[Monttorang Goat Ranch]
60-11 Hwajeon-dong, Taebaek-si, Gangwon-do
When it comes to winter, you can't miss out on a trip to Gangwon-do🤍
The vast snowy landscape of Daegwallyeong is beautiful, but the snowy landscape of Taebaek, which is full of mountains, has a different charm.
How about seeing beautiful snowy landscapes and goats at [Monttorang] in Taebaek on a snowy winter day?
Monttorang operates a goat ranch and a cafe together.
After purchasing the admission ticket, go up a little and you will see a wide meadow with goats living together.
You can also experience feeding them and take great pictures at the photo zones located here and there.
The high altitude makes the view below the mountain so beautiful.
For families visiting with children on cold days, there is a kids' room below the ranch where children can play,
and there is also an indoor barn where you can meet baby goats.
It is located not far from Taebaek Hwangji city center, so it is easily accessible:)
❤️Opening hours: 9:00 -20:00 (ranch closes at 18:00)
💙Parking: Available parking lot

Summer Trip to Taebaek
Busan Potato Ongsimi
During my summer trip, I visited a famous restaurant in Taebaek called ⭐️Busan Potato Ongsimi⭐️. This place is known for its soft and delicious Ongsimi Kalguksu. Located inside Hwangji Free Market, it opens early in the morning, making it a great spot for breakfast. The menu is not extensive, so it's easy to choose and order your meal quickly. However, the restaurant is small, so there is often a long wait during peak hours.

Summer Trip to Tongri Tantan Park in Taebaek
During my summer trip to Taebaek, I visited the ⭐️Tongri Tantan Park⭐️. In the main building, you can enjoy various experiences such as a live sketch inspired by the legend of the Dragon Palace of Gumunso, an augmented reality (AR) photo zone where you can meet representative animals from six continents, and a shooting game called Gunslayers where you become a guardian angel to save Taebaek. Additionally, you can explore 'The Path of Memories' and 'The Path of Light' which utilize abandoned mines, discover family stories, and enjoy music intertwined with various themed digital content like media art. Walking along the trails connecting the two mines and stopping at various photo zones can also provide a healing time. Especially, the open scenery at the end of 'The Path of Memories' offers a unique impression, and the cool Baekdudaegan breeze while walking along the trail creates unforgettable memories.

Summer Trip to Taebaek: Visit to Taebaek Coal Museum
During my summer trip to Taebaek, I visited the ⭐️Taebaek Coal Museum⭐️, the largest coal museum in Asia. This museum provides a comprehensive understanding of the history of the coal industry in Korea and the process of coal formation. It was established to honor the achievements of the miners who played a crucial role in Korea's modernization and to highlight the historical significance of the coal industry. The museum offers insights into everything about Taebaek's coal industry, which played a pivotal role in the nation's industrial development as the first place where coal was discovered in South Korea.

Summer Trip to Taebaek: A Visit to Chomak Gogaldu
During our summer trip to Taebaek, we visited ⭐️Chomak Gogaldu⭐️, a restaurant specializing in braised mackerel, located on the way to Wind Hill in Taebaek. The name is unique, combining the words for mackerel, ribs, and tofu (Gogaldu). This place is famous for its braised mackerel, ribs, and tofu dishes, known as 'rice thieves' for their deliciousness. The rice balls served as a side dish are also popular, and the restaurant is always busy during lunchtime.

A Great Place to Eat During a Summer Trip to Taebaek: Deulbit Set Menu
The ⭐️Deulbit⭐️ set menu is a great choice for meals during a summer trip to Taebaek. Located in downtown Taebaek, this Korean set menu restaurant offers a variety of set meals. It is a relatively new restaurant that serves various set menus, including grilled pork belly and grilled deodeok, which are hard to find in Taebaek. Although it is situated in a narrow alley, it is popular among tourists rather than locals and often hosts group reservations.

Best Place to Visit in Taebaek: Goomunso!
Taebaek Goomunso
Goomunso might not be a famous tourist spot, but it's surprisingly popular among photographers!
The Paleozoic strata and erosion landforms here are designated as Natural Monument No. 417, recognized for their cultural value. It's worth stopping by even if you're just passing through!
Even if you don't understand its significance, the deep blue water and naturally formed cave-like tunnel evoke a sense of nature's mystery, which kids find fascinating!
There's a photo zone in front, making it a great spot for pictures with the background. On a good day, it's beautiful to capture with the clouds, so I highly recommend it!

If you come to Taebaek, be sure to visit Silbi Restaurant.
#JuneTravelSupportEvent
This is Taeseong Silbi Restaurant, where I visited to eat Korean beef during my Taebaek trip.
The name Silbi Restaurant literally means “Actual Cost Restaurant.”
This means that they provide food to customers at prices close to the actual cost of ingredients and operating expenses.
If you want to enjoy Gangwon-do Korean beef at a good price, I recommend this place.

Taebaeksan Yuilsa Course (shortest)
Taebaeksan Yuilsa Exploration Trail Course.
This is the fastest course.
There is no parking fee or admission fee at the Yuilsa Exploration Trail parking lot.
If you go up for about 40 minutes along the gentle trail,
you will reach Yuilsa.
Up to this point, it is a wide, paved, good road that cars can go up, and from here on, it is true.
If you go up quickly, you can climb from Yuilsa in 1 hour.
It is not a difficult course...
But there are a lot of rocks, so hiking boots with good grip are essential.
After passing the summit, Janggunbong,
you will reach Cheonjedan about 200 meters further.

Taebaek Travel Geomryongso
This is a valley that is said to be the source of the largest Han River in Seoul, the capital of Korea. The trails are well-developed, making it a great place for hiking regardless of age or gender. When it's wet or rainy, you need to be a little careful because there are a lot of snakes. #Activity
