After visiting the little Venice - Colmar, we headed to the Petit France - Strasbourg! It is just around 30 -40 mins train ride. Thanks to the good weather again, we had a pleasant walk throughout the old town to main street, had a good look at the marvelous Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-Strasbourg, visited all the little shops around and enjoyed the christmasy atmosphere there.

I have always been interested in the city of Strasbourg, and finally, on this trip south from Germany, I had the chance to pass through this city. Strasbourg is home to the European Parliament, so many important European figures live nearby, making hotels in Strasbourg quite expensive. Therefore, I stayed at a hotel in a border city in Germany. When I arrived on the first day, it was already evening and raining heavily. Despite the rain, the city was still very charming, with the church illuminated by nearby lights, looking magnificent. Due to the heavy rain, I went to a nearby Japanese restaurant and had a shrimp curry rice for only 12 euros, and the portion was very generous. After eating, I walked around the nearby area before taking a tram back to my hotel in Kehl. It only took a 20-minute tram ride to travel from France to Germany, which felt quite amazing. The next morning, I returned to France from Germany to visit the famous European Parliament building. No reservation was needed, and it was free, making it well worth the visit. After spending a few hours there, I left Strasbourg, taking one last look at the church before departing.

One of the top attractions in Strasbourg is none other than the La Petite France (the Little France), which is a historic neighbourhood in the center of Strasbourg, showcasing the old-fashioned charm of a quaint medieval city. This quarter is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is the most picturesque neighbourhood of Strasbourg’s old town area. It is well worth a visit as it is really enchanting. The Strasbourg Christmas Market in eastern France has been in existence since 1570. It is one of the oldest Christmas markets in Europe and is held from the end of November to December 24 every year. Every Christmas, many French people gather here to celebrate Christmas! #Heart-pounding summer vacation A dormitory but comfortable and clean The People Strasbourg✨ It's not that old since it opened, so the beds are clean, and there are curtains installed, so privacy is guaranteed. The wooden beds do not squeak at all, so you can toss and turn with peace of mind. There's a cafe and bar on the first floor (expensive), and a space to rest. One of the most beautiful places in Strasbourg and in fact the whole of France is definitely Petit France. When weather permits this area is perfection with the reflection of the architectural buildings and trees on the river. Every corner and every bridge in this area are so pretty and romantic. The hotel is located about 15 mins by bus ride from the Strasbourg main train station. Take the bus #2 or H right outside the train station and align at Lycee Kleber stop and walk about 3 mins. The hotel is just located opposite European institutions and congress centre and has a very peaceful vibe. The check in receptions were very welcoming and the room is spacious. The gym is a bit small and there is a sauna room right outside the gym with two shower areas. These are open areas.
