Dreamy northern lights
During this trip the arctic weather was quite an experience with beautiful white powdery snow! it was a challenge to catch the northern lights due to the clouds but in the end we were successful!
The activities and tours, visiting reindeer, Sommaroy island and petting the Alaskan huskies. When the weather gave us a break, the landscape and colors were truly mind-blowing.

Travel checklist: 🧳
📞 You must bring a phone card, which is convenient for surfing the Internet and receiving text messages. O2 has a good signal.
🔌 When traveling, don’t forget the plug converter. Norway uses European standard plugs with two round heads.
👚 It’s chilly in Norway in January, so you need to prepare thick down jackets, thermal underwear, and waterproof snow boots so you can play in the ice and snow without getting wet.
(Note: Due to word limit, the following is supplementary content)
🎫 Documents are also important. Check your passport, visa, and air tickets carefully so that you can travel without worries.
🔋 Chargers and power banks keep you charged anytime and anywhere, so you don’t have to worry about running out of power when taking photos.

Polar night in Sommarøy (Norway)
One day before the winter solstice we visited Sommarøy, an amazing archipelago about 60 km west far from Tromsø. During the summer this place is a paradise and people usually eat on their beaches.

Somaroy Island, Arctic Region, Norway
Somaroi is under the jurisdiction of Tromso, a city in the Arctic region of Norway. It is an ancient fishing village extending to the Norwegian Sea with an area of only 0.34 square kilometers and a population of about 320 people. There are many fishing fleets and abundant fish in the area. Processing and other industries.
The fishing village consists of three islands, from west to east: Shilsoy, Somaroy and Stow Somaroy. It has become a popular tourist destination because of its white sandy beaches and unique scenery. Winter is the most popular. One of the best aurora observation points, which is why I like to stay here for one night when I am in Tromso in winter, because there is less light pollution here than Tromso, especially in Hillesøy facing Norway. There is almost no light pollution in the direction of the sea.
The original settlement of the fishing village was on the westernmost island of Hillesoy, where there is the ancient Church of Hillesoy. Since the Middle Ages, this place has been the location of churches of all ages. At the end of the 19th century, the church was moved to the Brenthol Gate on Kvar Island. It was not until around 1900 that the main center of the village was moved to Somaroy Island. #Overseas travel #Norway travel #Norway travel #Norwegian scenery #Arctic trip #Arctic circle #Northern lights #Ice and snow fantasy #Seascape #Island vacation #norway #arctic #aurora

Tromso-Som
Tromso-Sommary is 60 km from Tromso. Compared to the city, the terrain is more open and there is almost no light pollution. It is more suitable for viewing aurora. The magic of Aurora lies in its transformation. There are no two identical aurora, so every photo left in the camera is never the same. At the moment the shutter is pressed, no one can predict what it will eventually stay on the film. It is also here that the prediction of the intensity of aurora is generally divided into 9 levels. The level below 3 is generally invisible to the naked eye, the green light can be seen in the 3-5 level, and the colored aurora can be seen in the 5th level or higher. . After experiencing a 7-level aurora explosion, I have been completely immersed in the aurora, and all the torments that are waiting in the darkness and the cold are dying in the moment that it dances in the night sky. I fired, lit the lights, and drove under the sky of aurora, which was the feeling that I could never experience in the bustling city.
