In the Chinese province of Heilongjiang (黑龙江, Hēilóngjiāng), there is such a place: Mishan (密山, Mìshān). This locality is located between the cities of Jixi and Mudanjiang (牡丹江, MǔDānjiāng). My trip to Mishan, China, took place in July 2024. The bus ride from Vladivostok took 7-8 hours. The journey lasted 4 days. The weather in Mishan was beautiful in July. We visited a Buddhist temple, the Bavuwa Farm Park, an amusement park with a waterfall, took a ride on a traditional Chinese boat, and visited the Olympic Village. We were particularly impressed by the wine factory. The wine tasting was so delicious that every tourist purchased some wine. The factory offers a wide range of wines, including young grape wine, ice wine, and many other types of wine. The factory also has wine barrels that visitors can explore. We also enjoyed the food, which included an unlimited buffet with barbecue. Many types of meat and seafood can be grilled. There are many street vendors selling food (fried squid with spicy peppers, shrimp, and meat). I want to recommend a great beef soup with fresh flatbreads!! (You can order the boiled beef separately with the soup) The soup is delicious! The city is small by Chinese standards, but there are many attractions and beautiful natural parks in the surrounding area. China is a mystery, a magic, and a riddle. We were here at the end of October. It's quiet, practically deserted, beautiful. It's a 40-minute taxi ride from Mishan. First, there's a steep climb up the stairs to the ridge. We were exited when found very big and beautiful temple near the city. This place is really good to take a look on traditional architecture, and to spend time in silence with your thoughts. Maybe we are lucky, but we were almost the only visitors. It's time to eat! Our main goal for journey was to eat tasty and interesting food. And we've achieved our goal:) The best places for us: - Versailles buffet - Dancing dumpling (near Khanka hotel) - Korean self-roasting (any in the city) - Hot-pot (any) - and small shop with cakes, I forgot the name. Baroque style. We lived in Khanka hotel and we felt ourselves as a VIP persons. Gold, mirrors and shining was everywhere - it is not a minus. Room for 3 was really big, but there was too hot in the room - we splved this problem by opening the window. One day we paid 25 yuan for breakfast and it was a mistake: meals are not interesting for us, not very tasty. Relaxing vibes. There was water complex in our hotel and we visited it every evening. Price is 25 for visit and additional 20 for swimming pool. We didn't visit swimming pool, because in this trip we decided to relax, not to train.
