A week of cool down in Mallorca
Day 1: Palma de Mallorca
- Morning: Catedral de Palma in the old town, with its Gothic spire and the blue sea beyond, and a rooftop terrace overlooking the entire city
- Afternoon: Palacio Real de La Almudaina, stroll through the colorful shops in the alleys, and look for local olive oil and lemon curd when buying gifts
- Evening: Enjoy seafood paella at Portixol seaside with a glass of sangria
Day 2: Palma → Valldemossa → Deià
- Morning: Visit Chopin’s former residence in Valldemossa. The stone house next to the monastery is covered with bougainvillea, which is full of literary and artistic feeling
- Afternoon: Go to Deià along the mountain road and walk for 10 minutes to Cala de Deià. The jelly sea and cliff reefs are all magazine covers
- Evening: Stay in Deià town and choose a terrace restaurant to eat grilled lamb chops. Look up and you will see the starry sky
Day 3: Deià → Sóller → Cap de Formentor
- Morning: Take the retro train (Tren de Sóller) from Sóller town to the port, shuttle between the valleys, and the end point is the glass-blue bay
- Afternoon: Go to Cap de Formentor to check in the lighthouse (Far de Formentor, standing on the cliff, watching the Mediterranean Sea divided into three layers of blue
- Evening: Eat squid ink seafood rice, so delicious that you will lick the plate
Day4: Cape Formentor → Alcúdia
- Morning: Drive along the coastline on the north side of Formentor, stop at hidden bays such as Cala Figuera along the way, where there are few people and the water is clear and suitable for snorkeling
- Afternoon: Go to Alcúdia to visit the old town within the medieval city walls. There is a market (Mercado de Alcúdia) on weekends to buy handmade soap and embroidery
- Evening: Go to Playa de Alcúdia for a walk, and drink a mojito at the beach bar to digest food
Day5: Alcudia → Cuevas del Drach
- Morning: Take a boat in the cave to visit the underground lake (Lago Martel), the stalactites look like crystal palaces under the lights, and watch a live version of a classical music concert
- Afternoon: Swim in Cala Romantica near the cave, the beach is fine white sand, lying down for an afternoon is super healing
- Evening: Stay in a small town in the east, try the local special stew (Cocido Mallorquín), which is perfect with hard bread
Day6: Cave of Drauch → Cala Llombards → Cala d'Or
- Morning: Go to Cala Llombards, climb the observation deck to take pictures of the famous cliff bay, the blue-green gradient of the sea water
- Afternoon: Walk 10 minutes to Calo del Moro, a small bay hidden in the cracks of the cliff, with shallow and clear water
- Evening: Eat grilled squid in the port restaurant and watch the fireworks of fishing boats returning to the port
Day7: Calo del Moro → Santanyí → Palma
- Morning: Visit the Mercado de Santanyí, look for antique jewelry and pottery, the stone houses in the town are equipped with colorful doors and windows, and the photos are all Instagram-style
- Afternoon: Return to Palma, stop at Cala Pi along the way, lie on the beach until sunset, and finally take a look at the blue of Mallorca
- Evening: Farewell dinner in the old town, must order garlic shrimp (Gambas al Ajillo)
