There are many forms of transportation ranging from local buses, DiDis, taxis, hellobike .etc. There are many scenic areas and they are all fully equipped with good and drink kiosks. Just like any other city there are international shopping stores , restaurants like KFC, McDonald, Pizza Hut .etc., Minios, Wanda Plaza and many others so you don’t need to worry about anything. In part of the old Lianyungang train station is a museum to the railway line and station itself. This station was once very important for goods to and from the port as well as tourists visiting the city. There are still some fast trains which run from the station. The museum itself is very thoughtful with some interesting exhibits. For example, some stories and history of the railway workers in Lianyungang and some photos of the station in past years. There is also an interesting exhibit about China’s fast train network and its impact. In May holiday the museum was completely empty and the staff member managing the museum was very helpful and friendly. Lianyungang train museum is a good choice to do something a little different and cultural in the city apart from just the beach.

I must say my first trip to Lianyungang City in Jiangsu Province was an awesome experience. The weather was cool and the people were warm and friendly. I visited during the Labor Day holiday and despite the crowds I had a wonderful time. We had a fabulous time at Minzhu Cultural Street in Lianyungang. I couldn't search for Minzhulu on the Didi ride app and later realized you pick it up as Minzhu Tourism Street. The vendors offer traditional antiques, so you really need to spend some time searching as you never know what keepsake you can find. There are a few eateries one or two bars, I can imagine it is quite vibey at night.
